Welcome to the Alimentary Tuesdays Blog Carnival!

Well it is that time of week again. The week has past so quickly. We had 9 participants in our very 1st blog hop. Thank you so much to all of the participants. We look forward to seeing their new posts.

I want to take a moment to share part of my weekend. It was Jacobs 7th birthday celebration. His b-day is today 11-01 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB! One of Jacobs birthday wishes was to have a Shockwave (one of the Decepticons from the Transformers cartoon and movie) cake. We always bake our own cakes to be sure the ingredients are organic. So this was a fun task (Shockwave is one of my favorites too). I will share my personalized cake making experience in a future post but here are some images to give you an idea. Continue reading »

Every American remembers where they were on that catastrophic, warm, sunny Tuesday morning. I’m sure most of the people in the world remember as well. That morning changed our country and changed our world.  It seemed to last forever. We lost 2,819 fellow human beings, 1,609 people lost their husband/wife/partner, and 3,051 children lost a parent. That sad day shook our economy, the way we travel, and our way of life. Over the past 10 years we have grown, learned, and healed but we have not and will never forget. We can not undo that day but we have done our best to never allow such an attack on our beloved country again. God bless the the victims, families, emergency support and all those effected by 9/11 and God bless America. Continue reading »

Walking for one mile will burn more body fat then running for one mile. During cardiovascular exercise like walking or running it is important to pick a pace that will allow you to last 1 hour comfortably. This applies to people exercising for the first time and those looking to improve their fat burning results.

Everyone’s metabolic rate is different along with many other physiological variances. Some of these factors are consistent from person to person. For example we all rely on fat and carbohydrates for energy at all times. When any person exerts energy by speeding up their walk, bursting into a jog, or lifting something heavy the body increases the amount of carbohydrate as a source of energy. The body also decreases the amount of fat as a source of energy. This is as a result of the need for fast energy. Continue reading »

This is a P90X ad, no not all infomercial products are crap. I can’t say for sure if these testimonials are true but I have seen immense results on people through P90X and I will attest to the concept of muscle confusion.
