I have to say despite all of my understanding of and reassuring experience with modern medicine and natural safe holistic remedies, I always reserve some doubts at the first sight of a new subject. When I was first introduced to Smart Silver I had complete trust in the health practitioner recommending its use. So I can’t say I ever doubted its safety. Its effectiveness is a different story. I started taking Smart Silver as a preventative to aid immune function. After a short time when I seemed to have a scratchy throat I upped my dose. After a couple of months I had observed that I had barely suffered any sickness outside of a slight onset of an ailment. This was better than it had been since I started spending time with children 4, 5 and 6 years old regularly. But of course the weather is warmer, I eat very healthy and I practice many forms of preventative health care. Could the silver be helping? It may, and it probably was a little.
My faith in the silvers effectiveness was growing on me but I knew there was still a time and place for the antibiotics that I was so against. I shared this attitude with the health practitioner that introduced me to silver and he agreed but shared a story where he replaced antibiotics with Smart Silver for his child successfully. I did respect his knowledge but would I do the same? Then we brought our 5 year old boy who had been complaining about pain from what looked like a cavity to the dentist. The dentist diagnosed the poor boy with an abscessed baby tooth that needed to be removed. He explained to us that when these things start they get very bad real fast. He also explained that it would be too dangerous to perform the procedure with that level of infection. This explanation was of course promptly followed by a 5 day script of a good dose of amoxicillin. The dentist said if the antibiotic did not get the infection under control he would not remove the tooth. Now here we were, a small boy in pain, a dentist who would not ease the pain until the infection was under control, an antibiotic that would stop the infection but would also do all the damage that I was well aware of to this delicate little child and a would be safe effective alternative that I thought I knew would work. Well with the help of the child’s mother I was reminded that it was that doubt that kept nations poisoning themselves instead of living long high quality lives.
We ripped up the antibiotic script and gave the child a healthy dose of colloidal silver 3 to 4 times a day. When the day of the child’s procedure arrived we examined his tooth and aside from the visible cavity there was to irritation, redness, swelling or any sign of infection what so ever. The dentist removed the tooth with no clue we had never filled the script. I cannot say that I will never take antibiotics again but I will say there is a very good chance I won’t and I will never without giving Smart Silver a chance first.
