Antibiotics and Alternatives PART 1 of 3

Antibiotics are very effective in killing bacteria. This is not a good thing because the human body relies on good bacteria for an array of functions. There are many antimicrobials that we can get through nutrition. When these are not enough there is SmartSilver which is a brand of a colloidal silver supplement. This is a highly effective antimicrobial that can be used as an alternative to harmful antibiotics.

The human intestinal track relies on good bacteria for various necessary functions. Good bacteria fight off bad bacteria that cause infection. The human digestive system relies on beneficial bacteria to break down proteins and ferment carbohydrates. So let’s sum this up: antibiotics do address a bacterial infection, they do not address why the infection occurred in the first place, they completely remove the intestinal tracks defense system, they lessen the whole immune system, and they inhibit the absorption of nutrients.

Silver has been known to inhibit the growth of unwanted microorganisms for thousands of years. The Greeks and the Roman Empire stored liquids like water and wine in silver containers to preserve them. Silver cutlery “silverware” was created to help prevent the consumption of dangerous pathogens. History shows the practice of putting silver utensils or silver coins in drinking water to keep it safe from bacteria all over the world. American pioneers would put silver coins in their milk to keep it fresh. Wounds were treated with silver in World War I. There are records of the use of colloidal silver from 1200 years ago. When the silver nano particles in SmartSilver come into contact with moisture they release silver ions. When these ions come into contact with bacteria they cause the oligodynamic effect.
